Pension paydates
Pensions are paid monthly in arrears direct to your bank account or building
society account on the 15th of each month. Payment will be made earlier if
the 15th falls on a weekend or a bank holiday. Firefighters who retired under the 1992 regulations are paid on the 16th of the month.
From July 2008 advice slips will no longer be sent on a monthly basis. From then you will receive an advice slip:
-
in April to confirm the increase to your pension
-
in May to show the details of your new regular pension amount
-
where there is a change of £1 or more to the net amount
-
where there are changes to your tax code.
