The Fund delivered a return of +7.9% over the year, marginally outperforming its benchmark. The outperformance was mainly due to good asset allocation.
Over the three years to 31 March 2011, the Fund posted a return of +6.2% per year which was equal to its benchmark return. It failed to meet its target of out performing the benchmark by 0.5% per year, this was mainly due to poor returns in 2007/08.
The Fund has delivered a positive return since inception, but just equals its benchmark. The Fund's return is well in excess of the retail price index and national average earnings.
