Our Employers' Manual [PDF] on this site sets out what information we need from you in order for us to be able to respond to members' enquiries promptly. In general, it is helpful if we can be told of any relevant changes in your employees' circumstances – for example, marriages, periods of maternity leave, changes to part time working and joiners and leavers – as soon as possible. If you are not sure whether changes are relevant, please contact Erin Savage, tel 0131 529 4792.
Some larger employers are able to send changes to us in bulk through the use of direct data capture. If you are interested in using this option, please contact Diane Sinclair, tel 0131 529 4336.
We need your help to give prompt service to our members. We are required by law to provide certain information within certain timescales.
If information is late, then fines can be levied by the Occupational Pensions Regulatory Authority (OPRA). In severe cases OPRA may decide to issue a press release highlighting the breach of legislation.
Although the timescales refer to statutory obligations placed on Lothian Pension Fund, without the support of employers we will be unable to meet these obligations.
Employers should forward the information requested as quickly as possible. If there are ever any problems in meeting the required time scales, please inform us as early as possible.
