Lothian Pension Fund were pleased to be accompanied by MSPs on an inspection of fund assets in the renewable sector.

Doug Heron, Chief Executive Officer of LPF, and Ian Wagstaff, portfolio manager, were joined by MSPs Ross Greer and Andy Wightman on a visit to the fund’s wind farm investment at Harburnhead.  The visit provided an opportunity for the group to see up close how nature and machinery combine to power our daily lives in a clean and efficient manner.

Commenting on the visit, Doug said “We’re proud of the work we do on behalf of our members to invest in a diversified range of assets to ensure pension payments can be made when they fall due.  In each case we are a responsible investor and ensure our investments exhibit the ESG credentials we believe are fundamental to managing financial risk.”
